Upon the announcing of Jeffrey Deitch’s new role at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, an immediate focus turned to Deitch’s shining star in the world of contemporary and street art, the Deitch Projects. However, a new report from the Wall Street Journal seems to ease the fears of a gapping hole in the contemporary art scene with the conception of “The Hole” gallery. Founded by two former associates of Jeffrey Deitch, Kathy Grayson and Meghan Coleman were former directors under Deitch. Their first exhibition under The Hole will begin on June 26th with an exhibition titled “Not Quite Open for Business” and subsequent shows from former Deitch exhibitors. The Hole is located on 104 Greene St. in New York City and should serve as a fine addition to the art world with a number of fun and quirky side-projects including dating services for artists.
