Fumiko No Kokuhaku

Hailing from the land of the rising sun, this quirky independent short film is about the confession of Fumiko. It’s a simple plot but, extremely well executed and will be sure to raise a smile. I’m not entirely sure on what the girl says at the end, but if you are able to understand Japanese then we’d be super grateful for the translation.

Studio 4°C Working on In-Game Street Fighter IV Footage

The game developer CAPCOM confirmed at its Comic-Con International panel today that Studio 4°C (Memories, Tekkonkinkreet, Genius Party) is animating the in-game footage for Street Fighter IV, the latest version of its fighting game franchise. The panelists previewed two videos, including one of the fan-favorite character Chun Li that had never been shown publicly before. They also showed the English-dubbed version of a previously seen video of franchise mainstay character Ryu versus Akuma. CAPCOM announced that director Koji Morimoto (Memories' "Magnetic Rose," The Animatrix's "Beyond" short, Genius Party's Dimension Bomb, ) and animator Jiro Kanai (computer graphics in Akira, key animation in "Beyond," Mind Game, The Wings of Honneamise) are involved in the project.
