This is Sony's new 360-degree 3D display prototype, one that shows a stereoscopic, 24-bit color image that measures 96x128 pixels. What makes it interesting is the fact that you can view it from 360 degrees without using any glasses.
The latest must-have Bell & Ross timepiece forgoes a conventional watch dial for a unique circular radar display which uses colored radial lines making it as if the rotating hour and minute hands are scanning for blips. Limited to 500 pieces.
A duo formed by Parisian designers Simon Pillard and Philippe Rosetti, took a bold approach with their own kitchen by venturing to IKEA for the basic kitchen island and then spending the next week covering it with more than 20,000 pieces by Lego.

Q: Why, oh why did we not post anything on Monday?
A: Aarting's studio was flooded yesterday by an emergency industrial sprinkler system going off.
The destruction was impressively epic. The explosion of the safety valve created a massive waterfall inside the studio. 6 inches of water in 30 minutes.
Everyone is safe, life goes on!

Thouse is situated on the top of a hill on Antiparos, in the Cycladic islands, Greece. There was a lot of challenges in designing it related to its position. First of all there was a need to protect living areas from strong winds of the Aegean Sea and to hide them from the settlement at the foot of the hill. That’s why part of the house was dug into the landscape. In the result, the house is not only protected from wind but only its second store is visible from the village. Stone surfaces defines borders of the Krater house. A 25 meter long lap pool is located at the Krater’s west part which also features amazing sea views. The kitchen’s windows frame views of the pool and its infinity-edge. A courtyard is also protected from winds and is separated from living area only with large glass sliding doors that blur the boundaries between it and the interior space.
Color functions as language in Kenji Hirata’s bountiful universe with shapes and hues that converge in beautiful cataclysms on canvas. The Japanese-born, Brooklyn-based artist's solo exhibition "The Way Out is the Way In," opens at Joshua Liner Gallery in New York City“ this week. New Laughter Mode” and “New Laughter Mode 2” represent cylindrical objects in motion, awash in shades of blue and offset by suggestive reds on small canvases.
Slightly larger pieces such as the grand work “Gesture without Motion”—an abstraction of a starry sky illuminated by blazing comets—is lush in detail while “The Way Out is the Way In" makes use of the white space, applying gray shades to depict a cloud-like horizon.
Hirata has exhibited at Zeit Art Gallery in Hamburg, Reed Space in New York and Arcus Projects in Tsukuba, Japan. He is also a member of the Barnstormers artist collective of nearly 30 painters from New York and Japan including Swoon, David Ellis, Chris Mendoza, Mike Ming and Rostarr.

A sculpture for the wild books. This bodacious creation was birthed from the brain of sculptor Chen Wenling. His works include nothing less than weird, wild, and wicked! This particular sculpture is called “What You See Might Not Be Real” and is part of a new exhibition at Joy Art Gallery called “Emergency Escape.” Generally his exhibitions include a bunch of characters that sit inside a single theme (like pigs, or monotone Red people), so this is a fabulous departure of style and a crashing crank to subject matter. Discover for yourself the hugeness of this farting bull, and discover the celebrity devil he’s destroying.
The big fart! “放屁“ (fang pi) in Chinese literally means to fart but in slang it means to bluff or lie. Chen Wenling’s previous exhibition was called “God of Materialism” at the Asia Art Center - logical transition to the subject matter here, yes? The bull is the economy, the man being smashed? Bernie Madoff. What a lovely composition!
Made of fiberglass, various paints, 20+ feet tall.
