BLACK SCREEN WATCH
The Black Screen Watch displays the time and date in digital format using LEDs only when its button is pressed. Once the button is released, the screen returns to its jet black state.

NOTHING AGNECY CARDBOARD WONDER HOUSE
Started by Michael Jansen and Bas Korsten, the Nothing office is a construction that it is constructed entirely out of cardboard.
Designers Alrik Koudenburg and Joost van Bleiswijk are behind. Everything in the office – walls, beams, tables, shelving and even stairs – is made of cardboard.
The Nothing team was fascinated with the idea of creating something out of nothing; an idea that’s behind the company’s name as well.

A TOUR IN THE NEW BMW MUSEUM
"There are two entrances into the museum, one past the Museum Shop and one adjacent to the Café Bar M1, both which lead into the exhibition. The entrance hall opens to provide a look into the pulsating heart of the new museum, the BMW Platz, which the visitor will walk through several times and experience from different perspectives. The Platz speaks a dynamic, elegant, and urban language. Wide glass facades, polished high-grade steel, and a jointless ground from Bitumenterrazzo (polished asphalt) express a spatial perception that is not static, but in constant movement. The facades of the exhibition houses surrounding the BMW Platz were designed as “Mediatecture”, a symbiotic combination of media and architecture. This display shows abstract and thematic motifs expressive of BMW “driving pleasure”, functioning as an oversized table of contents for the entire museum."

CHRISTIAN PEAU SNEAKERS

NEIL BARRETT 2009 S/S FOOTWEAR COLLECTION
The silhouettes are simple and rather subdued with a nice number of details. A low-cut Lanvin-esque model features a metallic toecap and heel with a fur upper. Two other styles include high-tops with pearlized uppers as well as laser-cut perforations.

P3-24 TURNTABLE
Rega Research Ltd. is a high-end audio equipment manufacturer based in the UK. Founded in 1973, the company's name was formed of the initials of its two founders (RElph & GAndy). Historically Rega are best known for the Rega Planar turntable, but in recent years the company has diversified into a range of other hi-fi products.

HALDANE MARTIN
Haldane Martin is a South African furniture design company based in cape town. The company was founded in 2002 by its director and namesake Haldane Martin. They also design and produce all their pieces in south africa. Their designs are influenced by modern design with references to indigenous African design and materials. The company also works with architects to design interiors for offices, hotels and restaurants. In addition to the aesthetics, their furniture also pays close attention to its sustainability, using green materials and processes whenever possible. Their approach to furniture involves a series of small collections. Martin states, ‘i like to take one good idea and translate it into a small collection of furniture pieces’.

Pixel Hotel

"Playing on the idea of pixelation, the rooms and suites of the new Pixel Hotel in Linz, Austria, are scattered across the metropolitan area, blurring the definition of the classic hotel. Young and promising local architects were given a brief to convert various spaces—a garage, a workshop, and even a ship—into six hotel rooms.
The results range from an architecturally-fitted interior connected to an art gallery to a highly conceptual sanctum with furniture design by Thomas Feichtner (above). A short jaunt from center city and the Hauptplatz (Main Square) is a spacious loft with concrete floors and a bed encased in a vintage camping trailer, pictured below. Extra touches: a walk-in closet in a freight elevator and a hand-operated color photo projector.
The project is part of the Linz 2009 European Capital of Culture, an initiative designed to spark tourism in the city, stimulate the economy, and match government funds to creative endeavors.
Rates for Pixel Hotel begin at roughly $250 per night and, for a taste of local flavor, include breakfast in nearby cafes."
